Airbag Light On CODE BT1065 [SOLVED]

Postby icezack » Sun Oct 23, 2016 9:16 pm

Just posting this as a reference if someone ever have this problem.
I got an Aerio SX '06 and since I got it, it had the Airbag Light ON.
I tried this trick and unfortunately it didn't work...

BUT it gave me a code according to the blinking light pattern

Devil5word gave me the solution

Your air bag code is BT1065. You can tell this by counting the lights. The first short and long is to let you know the code is coming. 6 blinks space 5 blinks then the code is repeated. In your case its high resistance in the passenger seat airbag. Pull the negative battery cable with the ignition off trace the connectors through the seat and check for cuts corrosion dirt ect. Not to common to soda to get spill on it.

So I went on and checked under the passenger seat and found put that this little yellow cable was unplugged, so it was as easy as plugging it again and voilà!!! No more airbag light!!!

This cable is located under the passenger seat.

Hope this helps someone!!!

Opinions do not always mean that the destination is always different.
